Kate Middleton stuns in red at Order of the Garter 2016

There isn’t much to talk about with Order of the Garter except history and who attended – especially this year since the parade got rained out – so I’m going in with fashion first since I was so darn excited when I saw photos from this event. I put it right there in the title: Kate Middleton stunned in red at the Order of the Garter ceremony yesterday, June 13.

I’m a bit behind on posts now since I went out of town on Sunday (to Orlando – I’m fine; my friends are fine; what happened at Pulse is a terrible tragedy and my thoughts are with victims, and the families and friends affected by this hate-filled crime), so I’m playing catch up. This post is for The Patron’s Lunch which the British royals attended on Sunday, June 12; I’ll have a post on the Order of the Garter service later.

Sophie, Countess of Wessex, as something something to the Duke of Edinburgh Award (I know she’s not Patron, but the new royal website won’t tell me exactly what she is since it’s a horrible website), will take part in the DofE Award Diamond Challenge to mark the Award’s 60th anniversary. Kate Middleton, Sophie Wessex, more talk about the Queen on ‘Our Queen At 90’

I was able to watch ITV’s documentary about Queen Elizabeth II, Our Queen at 90, I’ve pulled some quotes from the program. The documentary was a look at the Queen’s life and had video of her from the past year, videos from her entire life, and interviews from various members of her family – such as Prince Charles, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall (in her second ever interview), Prince William, Kate Middleton (in her first sit-down interview as a royal), Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, and Sophie, Countess of Wessex.
