Spain-UK State Visit Day 1: Kate in Queen’s jewels for State Banquet with Letizia

Part 2 of Day 1 of the Spanish State Visit to the UK – you can view part 1 here. There were so many British royals who came out for the State Banquet tonight, June 12, and so many tiaras! Queen Letizia brought out the big guns, Queen Elizabeth brought out the aquamarines, and Kate Middleton brought out more loaned jewelry from HM but also from Princess Diana.

Spain-UK State Visit Day 1: Felipe & Letizia welcomed by HM & Philip

King Felipe and Queen Letizia kicked off Day 1 of their State Visit to the UK today, June 12, with the official greeting by Queen Elizabeth at Horse Guards Parade before joining the royals for lunch. Royal Round Up: Harry takes a selfie, Eugenie hosts the Beckhams, Victoria dons tiara for wedding

Here’s a royal round up of some stuff that’s happened the last few days. Prince Harry was spotted taking a selfie after he told everyone to put down their phones. Princess Eugenie attended Harper Beckham’s 6th birthday part which was held at Buckingham Palace for some reason. And there were a couple tiara-filled weddings recently, including one at which Crown Princess Victoria was a guest.

Prince Philip stepping down from public duties

In the wee hours of the morning on May 4, there was word that there was a meeting called with the royal staff about a big announcement regarding the royals, and speculation went wild wondering what it was about. It turned out not to be as drastic as had been speculated, but it was very significant: Prince Philip has decided he will no longer carry out public engagements.
