Times: HM wants William, Kate & Harry to focus on state business now that Philip is retiring

First we had a bunch of articles telling us that William’s move back to London in the autumn was planned to coincide with Prince Philip’s retirement; then we had the Express tell us that the timing was a happy coincidence, but Kate is totally going to model herself on Philip. Now we have the Times telling us that The Queen wants Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry to step up their game and stop playing around with their dumb crap.

Prince Philip stepping down from public duties

In the wee hours of the morning on May 4, there was word that there was a meeting called with the royal staff about a big announcement regarding the royals, and speculation went wild wondering what it was about. It turned out not to be as drastic as had been speculated, but it was very significant: Prince Philip has decided he will no longer carry out public engagements.

Kate joins Queen for Service of Dedication for Iraq Afghanistan Memorial

Kate Middleton and Prince William, along with Prince Harry, joined The Queen, Prince Philip, and other members of the royal family yesterday, March 9, for a Service of Dedication at Horse Guards Parade to honor the men and women who served during the Gulf War and conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Queen then unveiled the memorial while the rest of the family attended a reception.
