Royal Round Up: royals celebrate Easter

The royals were out and about this weekend for Easter celebrations. This royal round up includes Queen Elizabeth II leading the British royals – such as Sophie, Countess of Wessex, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie – to Easter service, as well as Queen Letizia and Princess Charlene attending Easter services.

Note: Sorry about posting this three times now, but for some reason it originally posted without the comment section turned on which I had to fix. The comment section is open now.

Prince William gives speech at Tusk Trust dinner

Do you think Prince William is upset by the fact that his engagements this week have gotten outshined by not only his brother, Prince Harry, but also his father, Prince Charles? There was no press at all for William’s United for Wildlife meetings in Switzerland on Monday while Harry got lots of glowing press for his appearance at the Chelsea Flower Show, and William’s Women’s Football Team visit got little press while Charles got a ton of press for his visit to Ireland (which I’ll cover later). William attended a Tusk Trust 25th Anniversary Dinner at Windsor Castle last night, and still he got little coverage. Granted, most of the royal reporters are in Ireland with Charles, but still. I wonder if William notices how little coverage he gets when he does events solo, and I wonder if that bothers him.

Prince William loses beauty sleep to Princess Charlotte (updated)

Prince William did some stuff the last three days. I was going to include William’s stuff in the British round up part 3, but the post got too long, so I split it up. The Duke of Cambridge traveled to Switzerland for United for Wildlife, he did an investiture at Windsor Castle, and he visited the Women’s Football team. He mentioned his new daughter, Princess Charlotte, and said there have been some sleepless nights since she arrived. I’ve been mostly avoiding talking about Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, because of the Kate Overload that happened for a few weeks there, but there is an interesting article I want to bring up, so that’s at the end. **Update at end of post**

Happy Easter Sunday to those who celebrate, and Happy April 5 to those who do not! If any pictures of the royals attending church for Easter come out, I’ll update the post (UPDATE: some early Easter service photos at the bottom of the post). For now, this week’s Royal Round Up has got a Kate Middleton sighing; all the Swedes, including Crown Princess Victoria, Sofia Hellqvist, Princess Madeleine, Princess Estelle, Princess Leonore, and all the guys; Princess Charlene; Queen Maxima; and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. I know you guys asked for more Sophie, and I heard you, but she didn’t do any public engagements this past week. Her next engagement is scheduled for the 21st.
