Royal Round Up: Duchess Kate, Princess Madeleine, Crown Princess Victoria, Queen Letizia, Duchess Camilla

Time for another royal round up! This one includes a Kate Middleton update (as she and Prince William have reportedly landed in Mustique), Princess Madeleine being a lovely person, Crown Princess Victoria‘s last two days in Silicon Valley, Queen Letizia chugging along in her duties, and Camilla Duchess of Cornwall coming back from her back injury that kept her MIA during Christmas.

Royal Round Up: Crown Princess Victoria, Sofia Hellqvist, Queen Letizia, Queen Maxima

Monday, January 19, was a busy day for lots of royal women. Not only did Kate Middleton step out for three hours, but Crown Princess Victoria stepped out for the first day of her official trip to Silicon Valley (with her husband Prince Daniel and daughter Princess Estelle), Sofia Hellqvist (with fiance Prince Carl Philip) stepped out for the Swedish Sports Gala, Queen Letizia attended a Cancer society meeting, and Queen Maxima attended a conference in London.

Royal fashion highs from 2014

I know we’re good and well into 2015 – what with being almost halfway through January already, my how time flies – but I did want to take a look back at the fashion highs from non-Kate royal ladies in 2014. Because A) why not; and B) it’s an excuse to look at Victoria’s red dress again. I picked my favorites from each royal (and royal-to-be) lady I covered in 2014. The list includes: Princess Madeleine; Crown Princess Victoria; Sofia Hellqvist; Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall; Sophie, Countess of Wessex; Princess Charlene; Queen Letizia; and Crown Princess Mary. I’m looking forward to covering these ladies more in 2015, as well as other royal ladies from other houses I’ve never covered before.

Princess Madeleine moves to Europe

It’s been rumored for a while that Princess Madeleine and husband Chris O’Neill would move from their home in New York, and she’s even talked about moving, and now the Swedish Court has released a statement saying Maddie and Chris, along with their daughter Princess Leonore, are leaving New York for Europe. According to the press release, they have not decided where in Europe they will live, and are currently staying at their apartment in Stockholm.

Swedish Royals step out for Swedish Academy formal gathering

At the risk of becoming the Swedish Royal Family Review, I’m covering the Swedes again.  King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill, and Prince Carl Philip and Sofia Hellqvist all stepped out for the Swedish Academy Formal Gathering yesterday, December 20, at the Stock Exchange, Stockholm to mark the end of the Academy’s working year.

Princess Estelle Christmas photos!

I know we just had a Swedish Royal Family post yesterday – and we’ll have another one on December 20 when the entire family attends the Swedish Academy formal gathering – but I just had to post these new photos and video. The Palace released three new photos of Princess Estelle for Christmas, along with a video of Estelle and her parents, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, decorating the Christmas tree at their home at Haga Palace.

Crown Princess Victoria brought Princess Estelle to receive the firs

You know how Prince William is a psycho about not letting the public see Prince George except for very special occasions to thank the media for being good little lackies and not disobeying him? Well Crown Princess Victoria is much more open with Princess Estelle. Not only does Victoria show Estelle more often, but it’s for more than just private photo sessions where the pictures are released weeks later. Victoria brings Estelle to official engagements (in Sweden!). Because Victoria understands her job and her child’s position in life. So yesterday, December 17, Victoria brought Estelle for the traditional receiving of the firs.

More tiaras from the Swedish royals at the Nobel Laureates Dinner

More tiaras! Last night, December 11, King Carl XVI Gustaf held the annual dinner for the Nobel Laureates at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. All the royal ladies (and gents) were out to welcome the laureates to the palace. Because this is a white tie dinner, we get more gowns and more tiara photos. Yay! The gowns were different, obviously, but the only royal lady to switch up her tiara game was Queen Silvia. Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine stuck to their trusty fringe tiaras from the day before. Sofia Hellqvist still didn’t wear a tiara, but she did wear a hair brooch.

Silvia, Victoria, Madeleine, Sofia: Which Swedish Royal lady looked best at the Nobel Prize Ceremony?

Cue the mic drop, Crown Princess Victoria just schooled everyone in how to bring the fashion dramz. Victoria went all out stunning for the Nobel Prize Ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall and Nobel Banquet at Stockholm City Hall in a red, strapless ballgown accessorized with a fringe tiara. This is what I think of when I think of a Princess. That’s not to say that Queen Silvia, Princess Madeleine, and Sofia Hellqvist didn’t look fantastic, they did, but Victoria stole the show for me.

Sofia Hellqvist joins tiara-clad Crown Princess Victoria and Queen Silvia for Official Dinner

Anyone want some tiara action from the Swedes? On Tuesday, November 18, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia of Sweden held the year’s second Official Dinner at the Royal Palace (the first one was in March). The Dinner saw the King, Queen, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, and Prince Carl Philip and Sofia Hellqvist greet representatives from the diplomatic corps, parliament, government, government agencies, science, sports, business, culture and the people who met the Royal Family on trips.
