Royal Round Up: William leaves EAAA, Swedish summer photo, Belgian National Day

Here is a little royal round up of some things that have been happening. Prince William officially left his job with the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA), the Swedish royal family color-coordinated in blue for their summer photo, and the Belgian royal family color-coordinated in purples for National Day.

Swedish Royal Family Summer Photocall

The Swedish Royal Family decided to do a Summer photocall at Solliden Palace this year. They usually don’t do a Summer photocall the way the Danish and Dutch royal families do but here we are. The entire family participated in the photocall which took place last Friday, the day after Victoria Day.

Crown Princess Victoria celebrates 38th birthday

Crown Princess Victoria birthday

Crown Princess Victoria celebrated her 38th birthday yesterday, July 14. Victoria celebrated Victoriadagen (Victoria Day) by greeting a crowd of more than 3,000 people outside Solliden Palace on Ă–land where King Carl XVI Gustaf led cheers and a sing-a-long of “Yes, May She Live”. Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, and Queen Silvia joined for the greeting outside Solliden. They then of course met the crowd.

Princess Madeleine’s husband Chris O’Neill on daughter Leonore: “I hope I’m her first love”

Along with Sofia Hellqvist and Prince Carl Philip, Princess Madeleine and Chris O’Neill gave an interview for the documentary, Aret med Kungafamiljen (A Year with the Royal Family). The interview was filmed the day after Victoria Day, on July 15, at Solliden Palace. Maddie and Chris talked mostly about their daughter, Princess Leonore, and what their future plans are.

I ask because the way Sofia Hellqvist talks about how wrong all the tabloid stories are about her reminds me of how the Kardashians, in interviews, always bring up the tabloid stories about them and then say how wrong they are. Sofia opened up about meeting the Swedish Royal Family for the first time in the documentary, Aret med Kungafamiljen (A Year with the Royal Family), when she sat down for an interview along with her fiance, Prince Carl Philip.
