Royal Round Up: Charlene and babies, Amalia, Maxima, Mette-Marit, Letizia

Here’s an old school Royal Round Up with no Brits in sight (until later today when I cover Kate’s return visit to the Anna Freud Centre – which may get covered tomorrow depending on how busy I am). This one’s got Princess Charlene celebrating Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella‘s first birthday; Princess Amalia celebrating her twelfth birthday; Queen Maxima visiting a hospital; Norway releasing Christmas photos; and Queen Letizia attending Journalism Awards.

Royal Round Up: King Felipe and Queen Letizia visit USA

Question: How much Letizia do you guys want? Whenever I cover her lately there are a lot of negative comments toward her in the comment section so I haven’t covered her much this summer. So let me know: yay or nay on Leti coverage.

Anyway, I was totally working on this royal round up of Queen Letizia and King Felipe‘s visit to the United States last Friday morning when Duchess Kate decided to visit a women’s prison, and then I didn’t cover Kate and the boys at rugby until Monday, and then Harry made a surprise appearance on Monday that I didn’t cover until Wednesday, so Leti got bumped to today.

Felipe and Letizia were in the US from September 15-18, making stops in Washington D.C. as well as Miami and St. Augustine in Florida.

Royal Round Up: Letizia, Maxima, Mathilde, Charlene, Elizabeth, Sophie, William

This week’s Royal Round Up includes someone we haven’t talked about in a while, Queen Letizia, dolling it up in a tiara. It also includes photocalls from Queen Maxima and Queen Mathilde and theirs families; Princess Charlene celebrating Prince Albert‘s 10 year anniversary; and the Battle of Britain flypast and the 7/7 commemoration.

Royal Round Up: Royal Wedding Tiaras

I thought about doing a “Which Tiara Will Sofia Wear” post going through all of the Swedish tiaras to contemplate which one Sofia Hellqvist will wear on her wedding day on Saturday, but, while looking at photos of the Swedish tiaras would be fun, realistically there are only a handful of tiaras she could wear that aren’t in use solely by Queen Silvia or owned by other people. Of those, there really is only one that would work well as a wedding tiara (The Connaught Tiara), plus Silvia will have to tiara all of the King’s sisters (I’m guessing Princess Christina will wear the Six Button Tiara). My guess for Sofia is that she will get a brand new tiara to wear.

So instead of listing all of the Swedish tiaras and telling you why Sofia won’t be wearing them, let’s keep on the theme of royal wedding rewinds and take a look at past royal wedding tiaras for the ladies we’ve been looking at this week. As with the engagement rings and wedding dresses, this is not an exhaustive list of royal wedding tiaras, and we’ll be starting with the Swedes.

Royal Round Up: Royal Wedding Dresses

In keeping with one of the themes of this week, today’s post is a round up of royal wedding dresses from some of the royal ladies I cover on here. As with the royal engagement rings post, this is not an exhaustive list of royal wedding dresses. In keeping with the other theme of this week, we’ll start with the Swedes.
