William, Kate, and Harry join Prince Charles and Camilla for Battle of the Somme centenary

For their second day in France commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme, yesterday July 1, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry joined Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, British Prime Minister (?) David Cameron, and French President Francois Hollande to open the new Thiepval Memorial Museum and honor those who died on July 1, 1916.

Kate Middleton visits Place2Be, Art Room, plays tennis in Scotland

Kate Middleton was in Scotland yesterday for three engagements – two to two of her patronages (she’s already visited more of her patronages than either Prince William or Prince Harry have). The Countess of Strathearn visited a school with Place2Be, a school with The Art Room, and a school where she participated in a tennis lesson with Judy Murray.

British royals attend church at Sandringham + Wessex Christmas card

Since Christmas was just three days ago, it seems the majority of the British royals were still at Sandringham yesterday (Sunday, December 27). As per usual, the royals currently staying at Sandringham joined the Queen for Sunday service at St. Mary Magdalene Church. There were a few royals missing from this outing (Camilla) and a few royals joined who weren’t there on Christmas (Zara).

British royals walk to church on Christmas

I hope everyone had a great Christmas or normal Friday. I ate Chinese food – because nothing else was open – and it was delicious. Before the British royal family tucked into what I would assume was also a delicious meal, they made their annual walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate. Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, joined the Queen, Prince Charles, and the rest of the family. Unlike the last two years, Kate and William did not hold hands.

Kate Middleton plays drums at Anna Freud Centre Christmas Party

Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, made a return visit to the Anna Freud Centre yesterday, December 15. Kate previously visited the Centre in September, so she’s visited a charity that she is not patron of twice this year – for reference, she has not even visited several of her actual patronages that much (she hasn’t visited SportsAid at all this year). I’m being nitpicky, though, this was a solid appearance for Kate.
