The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge joined The Queen today, January 7, for church at St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate.
Queen Elizabeth stepped out for the first time in almost a month today, January 8, when she attended church at St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate. The Queen was joined by Prince William and Kate Middleton and the Middleton family.
I doubt this post will get much attention or comments, but I wrote it a while back when I didn’t think there would be much going on, and then there was so it got bumped multiple times. But I want to get it out there because why not. So here we go. Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall attended the Sandringham Flower Show on July 27.
Since the British press is making this comparison, I thought I would bring it up as well. As we learned yesterday, Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, took a helicopter from London to Norfolk on Sunday after her first official engagement of the year attending a service and reception to mark the 75th anniversary year of the Air Cadets, of which Kate is now Patron. On Monday, February 8, Queen Elizabeth made the trip from Norfolk to London via train after an extended holiday break. 34 year old Kate took a helicopter, while 89 year old Liz took a train.

Queen Maxima and Queen Mathilde met up for a concert. Queen Letizia did some business-y things. Queen Rania attended the World Economic Forum as well as a female entrepreneur round table discussion. And Queen Elizabeth II visited the Women’s Institute.
Yesterday, January 10, Kate Middleton made her first appearance of the year as she joined The Queen for Sunday church and afterwards for a wreath laying for Gallipoli. The Middleton joined the royals for church. But none of that matters because Prince William got a hair cut.
Since Christmas was just three days ago, it seems the majority of the British royals were still at Sandringham yesterday (Sunday, December 27). As per usual, the royals currently staying at Sandringham joined the Queen for Sunday service at St. Mary Magdalene Church. There were a few royals missing from this outing (Camilla) and a few royals joined who weren’t there on Christmas (Zara).
I hope everyone had a great Christmas or normal Friday. I ate Chinese food – because nothing else was open – and it was delicious. Before the British royal family tucked into what I would assume was also a delicious meal, they made their annual walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate. Prince William and Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, joined the Queen, Prince Charles, and the rest of the family. Unlike the last two years, Kate and William did not hold hands.
