New details about Kate and George, Princess Diana movie panned by critics

There’s a new article about Kate in Vanity Fair (here’s a Yahoo article with bullet points), with new details from Katie Nicholl’s new book (out September 17).  All I can say is that if any of this is true, then the Midds have done some serious leaking.

Kate’s “perfect” birth, Uncle Gary is talking again and Guy Pelly will not be a godparent

Kate’s first official royal appearance was last week at a race or something, it was supposed to be William’s solo but then she surprised everyone by turning up.  Everyone except Niraj Tanna, of course, who called it a day or so earlier.  I was going to cover it, but then I didn’t.  I don’t have much to say except that she’s back in her pre-pregnancy skinny jeans… five weeks after giving birth to an eight pound baby.  Sketchy?  I don’t know, I was told on Twitter that if she’s breastfeeding—and reports claim she is—that it’s possible to have lost all that weight in such a short amount of time.  Now I’m not going to say anything too crazy (just in case), but I must say that if she did not actually gain any baby weight, I think it’s unacceptable to claim the weight just “fell off” when the weight was never there to begin with, it sends a bad—and totally fake and unrealistic—message to normal women.  But then, of course she gained weight, right?  You can’t go through a pregnancy and delivery and not gain weight 😉  Here’s a bunch of articles about the appearance if you’re interested.

Prince George’s first official portraits aren’t great

The first official photographs of Prince George Alexander were released today.  There are two photos: one with Will, Kate and George; and one with Will, Kate, George and Lupo.  Glad to see Lupo not being left out.  The photos were taken by Michael Middleton (Kate’s father).

Kate is still insisting she doesn’t have a nanny, and other news

I’ve been dealing with personal stuff the last week and a half, and have ignored the royal BS PR machine during that time.  But now I’m back to it and as disappointed as ever.  Basically I’m catching up on some of the stories from the last week and a half, or so.

It is NOT okay to call her Princess Kate: titles clarification

There has been some confusion/controversy over Kate Middleton’s official title in the last few days.  It all started when Clarence House released an image of Prince George’s birth certificate and under “mother’s occupation” it said, “Princess of the United Kingdom”.  After this was made public, the media pounced on the “princess” reference.  They made a huge deal about Kate being called a princess, and a lot of reporters and fans were saying it is now okay to call Kate, Princess Kate.  Of course the rational, non-sycophants were very unhappy with this and pushed against those saying Kate is a princess and that it’s okay to call her Princess Kate by saying that Kate is not a princess but rather a duchess, since she was bestowed the title Duchess of Cambridge upon her marriage.  I would like to clarify things a bit:

George has a name/Kate’s stomach is causing drama/Camb’s moving into Anmer? [Updated]

Baby Cambridge officially has a name: George Alexander Louis.  It was announced last week, only a day after they left the hospital.  I thought it would take much longer than that to get a name, so I was surprised when they announced it so early.  It’s a pretty boring, predictable name.  Every bookmaker had George as the favorite.  I’m not in love with the name.  George is boring and seems outdated to me.  I’m surprised there are only three names and neither Charles nor Philip is among them.  I thought for sure at least one of those would be present.  Louis is the name of Lord Mountbatten—Charles’ favorite uncle—and is one of William’s middle names; Charles wanted to honor Mountbatten when he named William.  I dislike Mountbatten, he was a disgusting paedophile (sec. 3, par 4-6; par 23-29), so I dislike that they used the name Louis in honor of him.  I love the name Alexander, though.  I wish they had used that as a first name.

The Cambridges left the hospital

The new Prince of Cambridge was born only on Monday, but there is a ton of baby coverage and articles surrounding every little thing.  Like, seriously, there are eight articles on the Daily Mail website just from today.  It’s ridiculous.  I don’t even want to bother reading it all, at least not tonight, too annoying.  I just want to cover the major thing that happened today (or yesterday, technically, since it’s after midnight).  The Cambridges went home from the hospital, giving the press their money shot that they’ve been waiting outside the Lindo Wing all this month for.  Go here for a picture of the family; here for a sweet picture of William holding his son; and here and here for close-ups of the baby.  It looks like he does have some dark hairs already, so cute.  I’m going to give the baby the benefit of the doubt, since he is only a baby and he didn’t ask to be born, whom to be born to, or what he looks like.  Until he does something worth criticizing him for, I’m going to leave him alone.  But that won’t stop me from criticizing his parents.  Just because they had a baby does not absolve them of their sins.
