Kate is nervous to give birth but is keeping herself “busy”; plus she’s getting free gifts

Goodness, I’m really getting sick of this, I’m ready for it to be over.  But then again, I’m going out of town for the holiday weekend so I’m really hoping that Kate won’t go into labor until at least the seventh, if not later.  Watch the baby be born today (because it’s July 4th now since it’s after midnight), ugh.  Today I was watching E News and they started the show off with pictures of Kate and I freaked out for a moment thinking she had had the baby—which I knew was not possible since none of the royal reporters on Twitter had mentioned anything (I’ve been Twitter stalking all of them so I don’t miss anything), but I still had that moment.  I’m not even a Kate supporter, nor am I really excited about the new baby, but the closer we get to the birth the more my nerves are on edge.  I don’t want to miss it, you know.  Maybe I’m more excited than I’ve led myself to believe.  Or maybe I’m just curious to the sex and what they’ll name it (I think, or at least I want, it to be a boy, and be named Arthur.  It probably won’t be named Arthur, but I still think it would be great if they named it that.  I just don’t want it to be a girl and be named Diana; that would be the worst thing possible for that poor kid).  Anyway, more Kate news:

Kate isn’t in London? Will she be there for the birth?

After the press made such a big deal about Kate not attending the Percy wedding because she was frightened that she may deliver early and wanted to stay in London just in case, Kate Middleton has decided to not stay in London after all.  According to Us Weekly, Kate is staying in Anglesey, Wales to be near William during the last few weeks of pregnancy (and will come to London at some point to deliver, right?  They don’t say).  Us is claiming that there is a plan in place in case Kate goes into labor early: they have a helicopter ready to fly her to London to have the baby.  Here is the plan that they should have: stay put in London if you’re afraid you’ll give birth early!  That was the point of not attending the Percy wedding, right?  Then why aren’t you in London?  Because the press lied and I was right that it was never about staying close to London, it was about being asked not to attend.  This story just blows holes in their previous stories and shows, once again, that they are big fat liars.

Is Kate lying about her due date?

There are new reports that Kate could be lying about the due date for her baby and that she could be due ten days earlier than has been previously reported.  It was first reported that she was due in July, then they narrowed it down to mid-July, then some media outlets were saying anywhere from July 13-15 (I’ve seen different outlets say different days, so I’m not sure).  Well now the Telegraph has a story about how Kate could by lying and that they think she’s actually due in the first week of July.  Apparently Diana told everyone that her due date was July 1 (with William), but she delivered ten days early, on June 21.  They keep harping on the fact that Kate refused to attend the Percy wedding last weekend (and instead went shopping) because she was afraid she would deliver early; but as I’ve said previously, I think that was just a fib so that it wouldn’t look bad when she didn’t attend when the real reason was the Percy’s didn’t want her there.  Of course, Kate has been so thin throughout her pregnancy that if she is due earlier than previously thought, my god she is tiny for a nine months pregnant woman.  Seriously.  If you were to tell me that she was due later than previously reported, I’d totally believe you since she looks nowhere near the end of her pregnancy.

TV presenter wants Kate to breastfeed in public: good idea or unneeded drama?

This story aggravates me.  I have no idea who this woman is but she has just used Kate Middleton’s name to piggyback one of her own causes—much like the lingerie woman.  That in itself is annoying enough, but this woman is kind of an idiot if she thinks what she’s asking for would in any way benefit anyone.  She’s not thinking clearly about the outcome of her request.

Kate Middleton’s lingerie: Did we really need to know?

Have you ever wondered what type of lingerie Kate Middleton wears?  Certainly not me, but I guess now we know.  Or at least that’s what this lingerie designer thinks.  This designer apparently sent Kate some free pieces and got a note back saying, “thank you for the thoughtful gift”.  I’m not sure what the standard response is to free gifts, but I’m pretty sure that’s it.  I am surprised that Kate, or Kate’s people, didn’t send the gift back.  Supposedly Kate is not allowed to take free samples, but is allowed to accept a nice discount (like 90% maybe?).  Anyway… This is another blatant attempt by a designer/website/etc. to link their name with Kate Middleton to generate press for themselves and draw in potential customers.  The thing is, though, is that Kate Middleton clearly isn’t a well-respected, married duchess who is about to give birth to her first child, or else a story about what type of lingerie she may or may not wear would never have been printed.  It says a lot that such a story would be printed about her.  Clearly she’s not the “wonderful savior of the monarchy/Diana 2.0” that everyone was hoping for.

Kate Middleton: world’s greatest style icon?

Before I begin, I would like to say that this seems like a plug for the website that carried out the “survey” rather than an actual consensus of what people in Britain think.  So it is not surprising that Kate Middleton just so happened to be at the top of a “most fashionable celebrity” list.  Not to mention put in the same category as iconic women like Princess Diana and Audrey Hepburn.  I would not be surprised if the woman who led this “survey” cooked the books to make sure the Daily Mail (DM) printed a story about it, the DM will do anything to make “Kate Middleton, the style icon” happen.  And they love nothing more than to put her name in the same article with Princess Diana.  So let’s take this one with a grain of salt, shall we.
