William gives interview on Diana, pictured with Kate, George & Charlotte

As part of the Heads Together campaign, Prince William has given an interview and done a photo shoot with GQ Magazine about mental health. William spoke with GQ’s Alastair Campbell, who is also a mental health campaigner, about Princess Diana, mental health, and the ultimate goal of Heads Together. In April, William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, and Princess Charlotte were photographed at Kensington Palace for the magazine.

Two candid Cambridge sightings in two days: Will and Kate on a wet-haired dinner date in Norfolk, arriving back in London

Prince William and Kate Middleton enjoyed a dinner out last Thursday, August 28. There are pictures–I wonder if they’ll complain. They didn’t make a peep for the recent pics of Kate walking George in the park with her bodyguard (note: Popsugar says it’s Kate’s friend, but that is incorrect, that woman is Kate’s bodyguard and has been since at least the wedding–you can see her getting out of the car as Kate arrives to the church), even though they’ve complained many times before. There are also pictures of Will and Kate (and Lupo!) arriving back in London from Norfolk on Friday, August 29.

Lupo (Will and Kate’s dog) the subject of a new children’s book: name dropping to make a quick buck?

Lupo and George

Someone wrote a children’s book featuring Lupo–William and Kate’s Cocker Spaniel. The news that there was a book coming out based on Lupo was released a while ago, but I don’t think I ever covered it. Well I’m going to cover it now, because the author has a new interview/profile in the Daily Mail (go here for the article) that caught my eye.

Kate wears white, and no jewelry, for final night in OZ

William and Kate attended a reception at Government House—named Yarralumla—in Canberra, hosted by the Governor General of Australia, Sir Peter Cosgrove, to end Day 18—their last night in OZ.  There were about 100 guests from the arts, business, charity, conservation, and sporting industries, as well as surviving recipients of the Victoria Cross.  The Governor General gave a speech in which he paralleled the Cambridges to the former York’s trip of 1927—the then Duke and Duchess of York, who later became King George VI and Queen Elizabeth—because they had a young child at the time and “accounts of their visit note the deafening cheers of the crowds, the fervent and spontaneous greetings of those they met and the Duchess won hearts from the start – all words that could describe the last couple of weeks.”

Prince William and Kate release new family photo with Prince George (and Lupo!)

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have released a new family photo for Mother’s Day (in the UK, which is March 30 – in the US, Mother’s Day isn’t until May).  The photo features Prince William, Kate, Prince George, and Lupo at the window of Kensington Palace.  William has his arm around Lupo, and Kate is holding George.  George is looking at Lupo, and Lupo looks like he’s thinking, “Stop staring at me kid, you’re freaking me out.”  Or he could be thinking, “Don’t touch me, please don’t touch me.  It’s my tail/ears/whatever, leave me alone.” I wouldn’t be surprised if George was a tail puller.

Kate and William attend “Mandela” premiere amid news of his passing

I want to preface this post by saying that the news of Nelson Mandela’s death broke shortly before the end of this event, he was 95.  I also want to preface this post by saying my heart goes out to Nelson Mandela’s daughter who was at the UK premiere of the film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom; it is awful that she couldn’t be with her father when he died.
