Kate in blue & Camilla in velvet robes for Order of the Garter 2022

Today, June 13, was the Order of the Garter ceremony at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle; held for the first time since 2019. Queen Elizabeth II missed the ceremony itself but did invest the new Companions (as Sovereign of the Garter) and attended the lunch. One of the new Companions this year is The Duchess of Cornwall, who received the Order of the Garter late last year after 16 years of marriage. This is the first time The Queen has invested a royal spouse with this Order (it’s the highest Order of Chivalry in Britain).

Prince Charles and Camilla both attended the service and procession, walking last to the church.

Prince William exists… and always looks slightly constipated.

The Duchess of Cambridge and The Countess of Wessex both attended as guests and watched the procession from the sidelines.

Kate brought back her G.Collins & Sons Tanzanite & Diamond Drop Earrings and Necklace which she’s worn a few times now, most recently in 2017. In addition, she wore a new Alexander McQueen coatdress which looks so much like all her other coatdresses in this same blue color that I honestly couldn’t tell this one was new. Kate’s hat is Juliette Botterill and her shoes are Aquazzura.

It’s a nice look but we’ve seen this same look from her multiple times in this exact same color.

Sophie wore a nice pink dress and a lovely floral brooch she’s worn a few times. Prince Edward was also there.

Princess Anne is also a Dame of the Order and attended along with her husband Sir Tim Laurence.

The Duchess of Gloucester was there wearing the same dress and hat from the Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving.

I’ll end with a few more photos.
