Today, June 6, is National Day over in Sweden, which looks a bit different than previous years. Typically, the Royal Palace in Stockholm is open extra hours for visitors, but it’s closed this year. Instead, Crown Princess Victoria is doing virtual tours. Additionally, there is typically a concert among other activities. Those have been cancelled. But we did get some sweet photos of Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar in the regional dress for their duchies.
As Duchess of Västergötland, Victoria wore her Vadsbo outfit. Estelle, as Duchess of Östergötland, wore a new summer outfit from the Skedevi region. Oscar, Duke of Skåne, wore an Ingelstad outfit.
The first photo features the Crown Princess, Prince Daniel, and the children. The remaining two photos, released the day before National Day, feature only Estelle and Oscar.
There was an additional photo released today, with Estelle in the national dress of Sweden, to mark National Day.
Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia posted a photo on their Instagram to mark the day.
And Princess Madeleine posted photos on Facebook and Instagram of herself with her three children: Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas, and Princess Adrienne.
Below are the videos Crown Princess Victoria did for the virtual tour of the Royal Palace. She’s wearing the national dress of Sweden. The first one is the Lovisa Ulrika dining room.
The second video is of the Bernadotte Gallery.
The third is of the counsel room.
The next video features Karl XI’s Gallery.
The final video features the Logården.
