Princess Madeleine of Sweden is seven months pregnant, and is reportedly having a girl. She has not confirmed the sex of the baby personally, but reportedly they registered for baby shower gifts with an American website revealing the sex of the baby to be female. And a Swedish Royal Court spokeswoman reportedly confirmed the information to a Swedish website (I looked at it and it seems like it’s a royal, and celeb, gossip website? I’m not from Sweden so I don’t know how reliable it is). I guess we should believe it if the spokesperson confirmed it? I don’t know. Either way, congrats to them. Can’t wait to find out the name. I’m always interested in the name.
Madeleine stepped out a few weeks ago for a gala celebrating Queen Silvia’s 70th birthday, and she looked very pregnant and adorable. She wore a blue lace fitted gown, with blue shoes, black clutch and black fur jacket. Side note: What the hell is Victoria wearing?
I did a search for photos of Madeleine and found that she has some great pregnancy style (much better than a certain Duchess the media has shoved down our throats). Here she is at the New York Green Summit and Royal Gala Award Dinner. At King Carl Gustaf’s 40th Jubilee (and of course I’m choosing the picture with a Prince Carl Philip bonus), and an adorable picture of her with Princess Estelle (Victoria’s daughter) for good measure. At the Jubilee government dinner—again with a Carl Philip bonus. And at the opening of an exhibition in Sept (again with Carl Philip). She looked great. I like her style.
And you know, Madeleine actually has a job in New York. She works for the World Childhood Foundation, a non-profit group founded by her mother, Queen Silvia. Good for her.
