Each year, the Swedish Royal Court releases a set of Christmas photos and a video of the Crown Princess family – Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle, and Prince Oscar – with a new theme/visit. This year’s visit was to Katarina church in Södermalm in Stockholm.
The Crown Princess family toured the church’s Christmas manger with the priest, Are Norrhava (pictured with the family below), who presented the story of the birth of Jesus.
The Swedish YouTube channel always releases a video of the family in Swedish, but this year is the first year they released a video with English subtitles. Here is a link to the Swedish version, and I’m embedding the English version below.
The Swedish court released a couple photos of Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar for St. Lucia Day on December 13.
The photos feature Estelle and Oscar riding a pony while wearing crowns of candles.
The story of St. Lucia features a woman bringing food to Christians hiding in the Roman catacombs. The story goes she wore a wreath of candles to light her way so that she could carry more food, hence the wreath of candles for the wee ones.
