To mark what would have been the late Queen Elizabeth‘s 97th birthday, on April 21st, Kensington Palace released a never-seen-before photo of The Late Queen with her two youngest grandchildren and many of her great-grandchildren.
The photo was taken by The Princess of Wales in summer 2022 at Balmoral Castle in Aberdeen, Scotland. The photo features: (back row, L-R) Lady Louise Windsor, James, Earl of Wessex*; (middle row, L-R) Lena Tindall, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Isla Phillips, Prince Louis; (front row, L-R) Mia Tindall, Lucas Tindall, Queen Elizabeth II, Savannah Phillips.
* Prince Edward was made Duke of Edinburgh on his birthday on March 10, which updated James’ title to Earl of Wessex.
It’s always lovely to get photos of the Queen with her family like this. And this is a great way to pay tribute on The Queen’s first birthday anniversary since her passing.
