Queen Elizabeth II has died today, September 8, 2022. She was 96 years old and reigned for over 70 years on the British throne.

Buckingham Palace released the statement:

The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.

The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.

I’m quite emotional over this. My condolences go out to her family in this time.
