Kensington Palace dropped the 2021 Cambridge Christmas card this morning. The photo was taken earlier this year in Jordan during a family vacation.

It’s a nice photo – I like Kate’s hair and dress. I appreciate that they aren’t fully matchy-matchy as we all know Kate loves to do. It’s nice to switch things up every once in a while.
The photo is not very Christmas-y but William and Kate have never released themed Christmas photos (the rest of the BRF usually uses a press image from earlier in the year, so the family as a whole doesn’t do Christmas-themed photos like other royal families).
I think it’s a bit tacky to release a photo from an expensive vacation while the rest of the world is still dealing with a pandemic, but rich people gonna rich people.
I didn’t expect any Christmas photos released until next week, so I just posted my wrap up of the Cambridge kids’ birthday photos earlier this morning – ha! It’s a double Cambridge kids day on the blog apparently.
