The Queen’s annual pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace for the extended royal family was held today, December 18. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge brought all three of their children to the luncheon: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

I saw a comment on Twitter about George sitting in the front seat of the car, and I honestly don’t have a problem with it. I was sitting in the front seat when I was a kid, and this ride wasn’t very long and at least he was wearing a seatbelt unlike Prince Charles. I think this is mostly personal preference – whether you would let your six-year-old sit in the front seat – and so I don’t think this is something to get worked up over.

I also saw a comment on Twitter about the fact that William and Kate rode in separate cars on the arrival, and, again, I don’t think this is something to get worked up over as I think it’s mostly innocuous. The Wessexes also rode in separate cars to this same event, for example.

I’m only including photos of a handful of them. Note: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were not in attendance as they are on their six week break.
