Kate visits NI & Scotland for 5 Big Questions

Kate visits NI & Scotland for 5 Big Questions

I’m so backed up on Kate posts! She’s been busy and I can’t keep up! Yesterday, February 12, The Duchess of Cambridge visited Northern Ireland and Scotland as part of her 5 Big Questions tour of the UK.

Kensington Palace reports that 200,000 people have filled out the 5 Big Questions quiz already. KP released a statement from Kate on their IG:

I wanted to hear directly from people across the UK and it’s great to have been able to talk to people in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and across England about their experiences.

I want to thank the 200,000 people who have filled it out because each and every response will help show us what society really thinks about raising the next generation.

I am excited to hear from even more people before it closes on 21st February.

Kate’s first visit of the day was to Ark Open Farm in Northern Ireland where Kate got to hang with the kids for a bit and talk to parents and grandparents about raising children and the early years. So… the usual (I’m running out of things to say about this quiz). But most importantly, Kate got to pet this awesome alpaca.

In the afternoon, Kate traveled to Aberdeen, Scotland for a visit to Social Bite Café. Social Bite does a lot to help those affected by homelessness, helping them find employment and delivering 140,000 items of free food every year. Kate visited the cafe to speak with employees, volunteers, and customers who have experienced homelessness about how the early years affects people and has a lasting impact on one’s life.

For fashion, Kate went with separates. She wore a new cornflower blue jumper from Pure Collection ($175.00) and new Catherine Zoraida Gold Fern Drop Earrings (£165.00) to both events, along with black skinny jeans.

For the Northern Ireland visit, she paired those items with her Penelope Chivers boots she’s had a million years, and an old Barbour jacket over a recent Seeland jacket.

For the Scotland visit, Kate paired the earrings and jumper with a Reiss jacket she’s had since 2013 and her Russell & Bromley Fab Dry booties she debuted recently.

As part of the Social Bite visit, Kate made a chicken wrap (starts at 2:00 in the video above).

I’ll leave you with a video of Kate with the animals at the farm, and OMG Kate had to hold a snake! I would have freaked so far out if I had been Kate in that situation.

Had to go with a quick post today; I’m super busy but I’m hoping to catch up on Kate’s recent outings this weekend.
