Royal officials have confirmed that Kate Middleton has gone into labor and checked into the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s hospital early this morning (London time).

UPDATE: The palace will now issue a press release first, and then will do the easel thing. Don’t know why they changed, but they did. Press announcement is imminent (3:30PM ET; 8:30PM London time).
