Pick your favorite royal (POLL)

I had a suggestion a couple months ago about a poll idea: favorite royal. I’ve been sitting on that idea for a while because things got busy and I didn’t end up doing that poll, but I thought I’d revisit the idea because I think it would be a fun poll just in general, but it would also be a great way for me to know which royals you guys like the most and which ones I should cover the most. So here are several polls for you to pick which royal is your favorite.

Royal Round Up: Duchess Kate, ‘The Crown’ trailer, Norway royals, CP Victoria, Queen Letizia

While we continue to wait for Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, to make her first appearance of the year, Katie Nicholl has provided a nice PR piece for us to roll our eyes at. There’s also The Crown trailer to watch, which is causing a bit of eye rolling itself (in royal historians). King Harald is celebrating his Silver Jubilee; pregnant Crown Princess Victoria had her first engagement of 2016; and Queen Letizia continued to chug along at her engagements.

Hot Guy (and Girl) of the Month – December: The King and Queen of Bhutan

I got a request to cover the Queen of Bhutan due to the fact that she announced her first pregnancy recently, so I thought I would take the Hot Gut of the Month series – where I highlight a royal gentleman – and tweak it a bit to highlight a royal lady I have never covered before. And her man can come along for the ride. So the Hot Guy and Hot Girl of December are: King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema of Bhutan. PS. My god, can you believe it is December already?! Also, I’ll cover more of Prince Harry’s South Africa tour later this week, possibly tomorrow.

Thoughts on a comment policy

I’ve never had a comment policy on here, other than an unwritten “be nice”. That has worked well enough for the last 2+ years, but there have been flare ups, especially when there is a a Kate drought. Honestly, it seems like people go a bit stir crazy when Kate disappears for long stretches. This has happened several times in the last 2+ years. As I said, my unwritten “be nice” comment policy has worked well enough, but lately I’ve noticed that there have been more flare ups in the comment section. Maybe this is due to the increased unhappiness with Kate, maybe this is due to the Kate drought of late, I don’t know, it could be a number of things.

Cambridge Survival Guide for Will and Kate’s new PR guy, Jason Knauf

In the comments on the last Duchess Kate post, a welcome post was suggested for Jason KnaufPrince William and Kate’s new PR guy. In the wake of Prince Andrew’s latest disturbing PR/legal nightmare, I thought a little advice from us to Jason would be a great idea.

So here’s to you, Jason. Welcome aboard the Cambridge Crazy Train and good luck wrangling the laziest and tantrum-iest British royals. I hope you managed a decent salary and excellent benefits – “prestige” of working for the BRF only gets you so much. In honor of you’re new appointment, I’ve put together a list of things you might want to keep handy for your time with the Cambs.

Lupo (Will and Kate’s dog) the subject of a new children’s book: name dropping to make a quick buck?

Lupo and George

Someone wrote a children’s book featuring Lupo–William and Kate’s Cocker Spaniel. The news that there was a book coming out based on Lupo was released a while ago, but I don’t think I ever covered it. Well I’m going to cover it now, because the author has a new interview/profile in the Daily Mail (go here for the article) that caught my eye.
