Who was best dressed at Buckingham Palace reception ahead of Coronation?

King Charles, along with Prince William and The Princess of Wales, hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace this evening, ahead of his Coronation tomorrow, for Heads of States and foreign royals. So let’s take a look at some of the royal ladies – and count down to my best dressed lady of the evening.

We’ll start with the men because, you know, they exist. JK but seriously suits are boring. Above is Charles and below is William.

My least favorite dressed is Queen Rania of Jordan, here with King Abdullah II. I just don’t like the weird pleating/draping on the skits and all the buttons.

Next least favorite dresses is Crown Princess Mette-Marit, with Crown Prince Haakon. The color blocking is fine, but not a fave.

Next up is Queen Anne-Marie, Crown Princess Marie-Chantal, and Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece. Marie-Chantal’s white dress here is very pretty, but the jewelry is lacking compared to other ladies. Anne-Marie’s dress is just kind of boring.

Next is Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden in this pretty pink dress with some pretty jewelry, here with King Carl XVI Gustaf.

Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania, wore this pretty teal dress with a large diamond floral brooch. She attended with her husband Prince Radu.

King Felipe attended with Queen Letizia, wearing this chartreuse dress – not a huge fan of the rushing but love the brooch and earrings.

King Philippe brought his heir, Princess Elisabeth, with him to the reception. I think she looks lovely here and I love her earrings.

Crown Princess Mary is one of the best dressed royal ladies around, and she looks classic and lovely here. Also in attendance was her husband Crown Prince Frederik.

The delegation from The Netherlands were Princess Beatrix and Princess Amalia. I love that Amalia wore one of these giant pink jewels from a brooch as a necklace, and the suit is nice, but her hair kind of needs a brush.

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa also wore a suit, but brought out this gorgeous emerald and diamond necklace.

Queen Suthida, with King Vajiralongkorn, of Thailand wore this gorgeous blue dress and gold heels. Love it.

The Princess of Wales wore a blue dress with a wrap detail at the neck and embellishments at the shoulder.

Kate also wore the Queen Mother’s Sapphire and Diamond Fringe earrings. I love to see her wear these earrings.

King Jigme and Queen Jetsun from Bhutan were in attendance. The Queen wore a beautiful traditional dress with a lovely hair adornment – got to love it.

I love Kate’s earrings but I don’t love her dress that much so I can’t in good conscious put her as my best dressed. For that, I’ve got to give it to Princess Charlene from Monaco, here with Prince Albert. I think this color is so pretty and I love the detailing. Also, are these pants? If so, I love it.

Her earrings are also stunning.

I’m super excited for the Coronation tomorrow!
