Kate serves kids breakfast as part of 5 Big Questions

The Duchess of Cambridge visited Stockwell Gardens Nursery in London bright and early on Wednesday, January 29, to serve the kiddos breakfast and chat about her 5 Big Questions survey. This engagement was originally scheduled for last week as part of Kate’s mini tour, but was postponed due to weather.

Kate met with the apprentices at the LEYF Early Years Chef Academy, which aims to tackle the childhood obesity problem in London by assigning chefs to each nursery who cook healthy meals for the children, before helping the teachers serve the children breakfast. It looks like breakfast was cereal and a mix of fruit.

In addition to breakfast, Kate spoke with teachers, staff, and parents about the 5 Big Questions survey. I call it a survey, because that’s what KP calls it, but it’s really more of a quiz. The 5 questions are really simple and then there is a “add more comments” section at the end.

I’m really curious to see what the findings are here, because when reading the multiple choice answers provided I could tell which ones they were hoping people would choose, because Kate’s been using them as talking points for years now, but I’m curious how many people choose something else.

You can still take the 5 Big Questions quiz if you’re in the UK and over 16; apparently they’ve had over 100,000 responses so far.

Kate debuted some new pieces for this visit. Kate’s wearing a new Sézane “Tulio” jumper, which I can’t, at this time, find on their website, and new Russell & Bromley “Fab-Dry” boots (£295.00). Those ids credit to UFO No More.

The blue coat is also new but there isn’t an id on it, although it’s pretty. The jeans are skinny and ugh. Kate took her coat off inside and her jumper isn’t my taste – I’m not into the lace bits on the front.

Kate brought back her Accessorize Filigree earrings she’s been wearing a lot recently.

Below is a video of Kate helping serve breakfast. I wish Kate had put her hair up to serve food; touching your hair and then touching serving dishes is gross. If there was any engagement for Kate to whip out one of her hairnets with a updo, it was this one.
